Accessibility Information

1. Description of our service
We, Ketterer Kunst GmbH & Co. KG, offer provenance research services relating to works of art and cultural property through Munich Art Research.
Our range of services includes, in particular, an initial assessment of provenance issues, research into the ownership, possession and acquisition history of objects, the evaluation of archives, databases and other sources, as well as professional support in further provenance and restitution matters.
Through our website, consumers can obtain information about these services and use an email contact option (button: “Make an enquiry”) to submit an individual request for provenance research, request an initial assessment, provide information, photographs and documents relating to an object, and request a consultation appointment.
Upon receipt of an enquiry, we review the information provided. Any further chargeable services will only be provided following a separate agreement concerning the scope of the respective services and the applicable fees.

2. Accessibility of our online service
The information and functions required to make use of our service electronically are designed to be accessible in accordance with the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz – BFSG) and the Regulation on the Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSGV).
In particular,
– the content and functions of the website are designed to be perceivable, operable, understandable and robust,
– essential functions are also made accessible via keyboard,
– texts and controls are presented with sufficient readability and appropriate contrast,
– content is structured using a clear and comprehensible heading and page structure,
– relevant images are provided with appropriate alternative text where required,
– form fields and buttons are clearly labelled,
– input errors are explained in an understandable manner, and
– the content required to use the service is generally provided in a way that also allows it to be used with assistive technologies, in particular screen readers.
This applies in particular to contact and enquiry forms, file upload functions and other functions for electronically submitting an enquiry.
At present, use of our online service does not require a user account, electronic identification or authentication, or online payment. Further contractual arrangements are handled individually.

3. Current accessibility limitations
There are currently still some limitations to accessibility in certain areas. These include, in particular:
– Missing labels: Some buttons, image links and form elements (selection menus) do not yet have sufficiently descriptive labels for screen readers.
– Alternative text for media: Some graphics, images of artworks or historical visual materials do not yet have complete alternative texts (alt attributes).
– Contrast and keyboard navigation: The colour contrast between text and background, as well as the visual highlighting (focus state) during keyboard-only navigation, is not yet optimal for some design elements.
– Language identification: Some HTML tags are still missing the appropriate lang attribute to correctly identify the language for screen-reading functions.
– Third-party content: Content or functions integrated from external third-party providers may not be fully accessible.
– PDF documents and downloads: Older PDF files and documents provided externally are in some cases not yet fully structured in an accessible manner.
Identified accessibility barriers are continuously reviewed and addressed in accordance with the applicable statutory requirements.
